		<description>Feingold&#039;s Amendment is actually undemocratic, because it usurps the power of states to decide for themselves how senators ought to be chosen.  It amounts to forcing direct election of Senators when vacancies occur, through the coercive power of the national government.  All in the name of democracy.</description>
